Version 0.5.0
A smoother Mac, steadier playback, and 50 languages
This release rebuilds the playback experience on Mac, makes sync steadier through scene changes when several computers play together, and adds six new languages. FloSync now speaks 50 languages.
New Features
- Smoother playback on Mac: the way FloSync plays your content on Mac has been rebuilt to match Windows. Video plays back more smoothly, stays tightly in sync across displays, and uses less of your computer's memory and processing power.
- Bring audio settings along when you connect: when you import a scene setup from another computer on your network, you can now choose to bring its audio settings too, so the right scenes play sound everywhere. It is an optional step in the connect dialog, so the simple case stays simple.
- Six new languages: Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Serbian (Latin), Tamil, and Telugu join the lineup, bringing FloSync to 50 languages.
Improvements
- More dependable around the clock: FloSync holds up even better during long, unattended runs, keeping your screens playing reliably day and night.
- Steadier sync through scene changes: when several computers play together over your network, switching from one scene to the next is smoother and more reliable across your screens.
- Smarter update notifications: FloSync now lets you know when a new version is ready and points you to the right place to get it, whether you installed from the Microsoft Store or downloaded it directly. Reminders appear now and then instead of at every launch, and never during a live show.
- A friendlier welcome: a new welcome page greets you right after installing, and FloSync shows you what is new the first time you open it after an update.
- Better bug and crash reporting: reports now capture the right details automatically, helping us find and fix issues faster. Thanks to everyone who has sent feedback since v0.4.0; it directly shaped this release.
Bug Fixes
- Animated GIFs on Mac: fixed a stutter that could appear after a minute or so of playback.
- Audio in fullscreen: fixed cases where sound could play unexpectedly during fullscreen playback.
- General bug fixes and performance improvements.
