Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tentekio LLC ("Company", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the FloSync desktop application ("Software") and the FloSync website at https://flosync.com ("Website"). By using the Software or Website, you agree to this policy.
1. The Software (Desktop Application)
1.1 Core Operation
FloSync's core features (media playback, scheduling, and multi-screen synchronization) operate on your local device(s) and local network. The Software does not require an account or internet connection for these features. Media files, configurations, schedules, and settings are stored locally on your device.
1.2 Network Synchronization
When using multi-device synchronization features, the Software communicates between devices on your local network (LAN). Sync messages contain playback timing data and configuration state.
1.3 Optional Cloud Features
We may offer optional cloud-based features in the future (such as remote management or cloud storage). These features would require an account and would involve transmitting data to our servers. Any such features will be clearly identified, opt-in, and this Privacy Policy will be updated before they are made available.
1.4 Bug Reports and Crash Reports
If you choose to submit a bug report or crash report through the Software, the following information may be sent to our servers:
- Your description of the issue and steps to reproduce
- Your email address, if you provide one for follow-up
- System information: operating system, OS version, app version and release channel, locale, the connected displays with their names and resolutions, video backend, and network sync mode
- A random installation identifier (not linked to your identity)
- Your IP address and approximate location (country, city, region, timezone) as determined by our infrastructure provider
- Diagnostic log files, if you opt to include them. These record what the Software was doing at the time and can contain the names and folder locations of media files you have played, and names you have given to your scenes
- Screenshots or other attachments you choose to attach
Bug report submission is entirely voluntary. You control what information is included, and no reports are sent without your explicit action. Reports are stored on our servers for the purpose of diagnosing and fixing issues, and are deleted once the issue is resolved.
1.5 Version Checks
The Software contacts our server when it starts, and from time to time while it is running, to check whether a newer version is available. During these checks, our server may receive and store:
- A random installation identifier (not linked to your identity)
- App version, platform, operating system version, and basic hardware information about your device
- The language and regional format your device is set to
- The number of screens connected to the device, and their resolutions
- Your IP address and approximate location (country, city, region, timezone) as determined by our infrastructure provider
This data is associated with the installation identifier and is used to understand our install base, diagnose version-specific issues, decide which platforms, screen setups and languages to support, and improve the Software. It is not linked to your identity unless you separately provide your email address through a bug report from the same installation. Version checks do not include your media files, your file names, or any information about the content you display.
1.6 Usage Analytics
We do not collect usage analytics from the Software. There is no feature tracking, no session recording, and no record of what you play or display. Besides the reports described in 1.4 and the version checks described in 1.5, there is one other moment the Software sends us anything: the first time you run it after installing or updating, it opens a page on our Website in your browser, and the address it opens carries the random installation identifier and whether this was a fresh install or an update. Our server drops both before the page loads, so they do not appear in the address you see, though they may be retained in our web server logs.
1.7 No Data Sales
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data collected through the Software with third parties.
2. The Website (flosync.com)
2.1 Cookies
Our Website uses cookies to function properly and to understand how visitors interact with our content. We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the Website to function (e.g., cookie consent preferences). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2.
- Marketing cookies: Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Where the law requires your consent before analytics or marketing cookies are set (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), those cookies are blocked by default through Google Consent Mode and are only activated if you click "Accept All" or enable them in the cookie preferences dialog. Elsewhere, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement are active by default, while other marketing pixels still load only after you enable marketing cookies; you can turn any of them off at any time with "Reject All" or in the cookie preferences dialog. You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.
2.2 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated usage data about Website visitors. When analytics cookies are active, Google Analytics may collect:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referral source (how you found our Website)
- General geographic region (country/city level, derived from IP address)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Interaction events (e.g., button clicks, downloads)
When analytics cookies are denied, Google Analytics operates in cookieless mode with limited, aggregated data collection. We do not use Google Analytics data to personally identify visitors. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
2.3 Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, selected topic, industry, and message are processed by Web3Forms on our behalf. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.
2.4 Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter from the contact form or from the newsletter box in the site footer, which also appears on the pages FloSync opens after you install or update it. Your email address is added to our mailing list managed through SendGrid, along with your name if you subscribed through the contact form. We use this information solely to send you FloSync news and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
2.5 Downloads
When you download the Software from our Website, we may log the download event (timestamp, platform selected) for aggregate analytics purposes. We do not require any personal information to download the Software.
2.6 AI Chat Assistant
Our Website offers an AI chat assistant. When you use it, the messages you send and the assistant's replies are stored on our servers to provide support, improve our answers, and guard against misuse. Alongside the conversation we record a conversation identifier, the language version of the site you are using, the page you started from, the page that referred you, your browser's user agent, and your IP address and approximate location (country, region, city, and time zone, derived from that IP address). To generate replies, your messages are processed on our behalf by two third-party providers: Cloudflare, which analyzes your message to find the most relevant pages on this site, and Anthropic, which writes the reply. Neither uses your messages to train artificial-intelligence models. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
To protect the chat from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs invisibly in your browser to confirm that requests come from a genuine visitor. This processing is described in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
3. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as it is needed for its intended purpose:
- Bug reports: Retained until the issue is resolved, then deleted
- Install tracking data: Retained while the installation is active; records with no activity for 12 months are purged
- AI chat conversations: Retained indefinitely, so we can support visitors, improve our answers, and guard against misuse
- Contact form submissions: Retained for as long as needed to respond and resolve your inquiry
- Newsletter subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe
- Analytics data: Subject to Google Analytics' standard retention settings
- Cookie preferences: Stored in your browser for one year
4. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Withdraw consent for data processing (e.g., unsubscribe from the newsletter or reject cookies)
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Software and Website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information transmitted to our servers, including HTTPS encryption for all Website and API communications, rate limiting on report submissions, and access controls on stored data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Third-Party Services
Our Website uses third-party services for analytics, form processing, email delivery, and the AI chat assistant. These services process data on our behalf and are governed by their own privacy policies. In particular, we use Google Analytics for Website analytics, Web3Forms for contact form processing, SendGrid for newsletter delivery, Anthropic to generate chat assistant replies, Cloudflare to match your chat messages to the most relevant pages on this site, and Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the chat from automated abuse.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
